ROM AZUL CHI BASE X

I Roman Weihs a.k.a Rom Azul, born in Austria, spent part of my childhood in Congo / Kinshasa and have been living in New York  for several  years.

 I started to play percussion and moved to the bass very soon; actually I got my first bass from my brother Paul, because he was playing too. I studied classic double bass for three years; I gave that one up very soon, because it was not really my thing.  15 to twenty years I’ve been touring, playing and recording with artists like: Miguel Kerstman (USA), Shayan Fathi (IRAN), Kris Jefferson (USA), Sam Brisby (NIGIRIA), Celia Mara (Brasilia), Evolution (USA), Band X (USA), Funknation (USA), Rigo Marsiala (Congo), Adriana Carneiro Lins (Brasilia), Fame fo Shame (Austria), Zoo (

Austria),Prinz Zeka (Congo), Wet Cookies/Björn Klein (Austria), Marvin Junior/Wailers (Jamaica) just to name a few....

I met Shayan Fathi, this time he was 16 years old. I was very impressed about his approach on the drums. So we started to record some of my songs, where u can hear me singing and playing the bass. Spezial Lady, I hear my brother call, Cold have been produced by Shayan Fathi and Ariel Ramirez played the guitar, Gery Schuller the Keyboards, Iris Wiesner bac vox and Shayan Fathi the Drums ,.... I wanna thank u all so much for sharing Ur talent with me!!!  

I’m now producing a new CD. The Music is mixture of Funk, Soul, Nu Jazz and some Reggae Vibes on top of it. It’s Funky, Organic & for sure gonna make u Move!!!
